What the job actually involves
A real tune-up means checking refrigerant charge against superheat and subcooling, measuring temperature split across the coil, testing capacitor microfarads against the rating, cleaning the flame sensor, inspecting the heat exchanger, and checking static pressure. A visit that consists of changing the filter and writing a sticker is not a tune-up. Dust and summer wildfire smoke load filters here faster than in most climates.
